Choe Quick Charge 2 0 Charger Review/Test (Video)

Do you have the new Nexus 6 or other device that supports the Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 protocol? In this video I review the Choe Quick Charge 2.0 Charger certified by Qualcomm. I will also show you the charge results with my Nexus 6 and compare it to the Anker 40 Watt 5 Port USB charger (regular USB charger with 5v 2.4A max per USB port).

Flappy Droid - Getting to Lollipop Easter Egg (Video)

This tutorial will show you how to get to the Android Lollipop Easter Egg. Google decided to incorporate a modified version of Flappy Bird (which we will call Flappy Droid) into the Android Lollipop's Easter Egg. You will also get to see me fail miserably at the game.

Bypass Nexus 6 Data Tether Subscription Check (Video)

Have you tried to turn on your Nexus 6's portable hotspot feature, USB tether, or Bluetooth tether, but it won't turn on because you either don't have a tethering plan, your carrier wants you to purchase a new plan, or your carrier mis-programmed your SIM card? If you have this issue, when you try to turn on data tethering, it will show a notification saying connecting to your carrier, and then after a while it will either tell you your carrier has blocked tethering, it failed to connect to the carrier to check, or a window will pop up asking you to buy a new plan. This video will show you how to bypass the data tethering check on your Nexus 6.

Required:
  • Nexus 6 must be rooted.
  • Have File Manager (LINK) installed.
Tips:
  • It is recommended you make a backup copy of your original "build.prop" file before proceeding in case you mess something up.
  • It is recommended you deselect the option that marks the system partition writable after you finish the modifications.

Come on a walk with me! (May 18th, 2015 Vlog)

Come on a walk with Sunny! In this vlog, I show you video footage from my walk from the Pleasanton Tennis & Community Park and from Arroyo Del Valle Trail in Pleasanton, CA. If you follow me on my blog, you will have seen photos from both of these places. I thought it would be a good idea to show you some video footage from the area too. Really sorry about the shakiness of the video. I shot most of the footage while walking. I was hungry, a bit dizzy, tired, so this all came a bit unexpected. I hope you enjoy!

I also show you some aftermaths of the really strong winds we've been having, a cat, and wild blackberry bushes!

Cellphone HDRs From My Walk

Here are some cellphone HDRs shot with my new Nexus 6 on my walk on Arroyo Del Valle Trail in Pleasanton, CA. I normally don't post my cellphone shots, but the sunset scenery for today was so beautiful and it was the only camera I had on hand. As always, your best camera is always the one at hand. :) This is the first time I've visited this segment of the trail. I will definitely be doing this walk again next time with my big camera and tripod!

According to Google Fit, I walked for 1 hour 46 minutes, 3.53 miles, and took 9,200 steps. My legs feel like 2 rocks. So I better rest soon!

These are all the photos for today. Please don't forget to share the blog post with your friends and family members! Light My Fire 2.0 Army Swedish FireSteel Review (Video)

Are you as nature photographer? Do you head into the woods and wilderness a lot? Ever thought about what you will do if you ever get lost and can't find your way back? Hopefully such an event will never happen to you, but you should always be prepared in case something like this ever happens on your photo shoots. Not to mention, having one of these in hand during an emergency or natural disaster will allow you to start a fire relatively easily.

In this video, I show you, review, and demonstrate the Light My Fire 2.0 Army Swedish FireSteel, a compact fire starter. This is an okay fire starter for emergencies, but I would not go to this fire starter as my first choice of tools for fire starting. As mentioned in the video, I had much better luck with a Fresnel lens on a sunny day than with this.

As mentioned, the fire starting demonstration in this video was done in less than ideal conditions. The test was shot a day after a huge rain storm hit California. The air and ground was still pretty humid and wet, and so was the pine needles I used as a fuel source. I did some testing with it off camera several days back when it was dry outside, and the fire steel ignited shredded printer paper and shredded newspaper by themselves in under a minute.

Overall I would recommend you carry this inside your camera bag or bug out bag as a backup fire starter in case your main methods of fire starting (like a lighter) fails to work.

Pleasanton Cinco De Mayo Festival (5-6-2015)

On 5-6-2015, Pleasanton, CA hosted the 2015 Cinco De Mayo Festival in downtown. I attended the event and was able to get some street photography type shots from the event. It was really fun with all the music, food, and (the best part) free swag! :) I hope you enjoy viewing these shots. Hope you all had a wonderful Cinco De Mayo. Please note this blog post is a bit longer than my usual blog posts, so it might take a big longer to load if you are on a slower internet connection.

A problem at affects me perfectly. I had to get a photo of them, and gave them $1 (the last small bill in my wallet). When I grew up, we didn't have these. I was so confused about my gender identity. While I was born biologically a male, I always felt I was female inside, and I didn't understand. I struggled for many many years, trying to behave masculine, and try to be a man. That did not work out, I never felt like myself, and I tried to take my own life several times. It wasn't until later I was taught about being transgender, I finally started to understand myself. Even then, I felt so foreign, and I didn't know who to listen to. These days, I am mostly happy with who I am, as a female. It is still a struggle as there are many negative stereotypes still and discrimination. I do still struggle with depression and suicide because of this but it has gotten a lot better with support from my friends and my professors in college (none of them has ever judged me, in fact accepted me as female and used such pronouns). I am glad kids these days have programs like this so they are taught at a younger age. If you ever see a GSA or any organization that helps LGBT youth, helps prevent LGBT suicides, please please please help out. Please don't let programs like these die off.

To anyone who has something against this. I just have to say is, scientific research has shown people who are gay or transgender have parts of their brain develop into the opposite sex, or forms into something in between. This has been done through many double blind studies on the brain on bodies donated to science. Both straight and gay individual's brains have been studied in both male and females. Similar studies have been done for transgender individuals. It has been found to be 100% true in the brains studied. These parts of the brain form during fetal development due to over or under sensitization of testosterone. Unlike genetics, hormones are not always distributed equally through the body which could lead to changes like this. There is a biological reason for such individuals and nothing can be done to reverse such differences (at least with current technology and neither would it be ethical). Just like skin color, this is a natural variation in both human and animal life (homosexual behavior has been studied in animals too). Just like it is not right for a white man to discriminate against a black man, it is not right to discriminate LGBT individuals. It is not right to discriminate someone just because they are different. This is who someone is, this is how they are formed, developed, and it doesn't affect their quality of life. Who knows? Maybe this is nature's form of birth control. We are in the middle of a population crisis. So who are you to judge? As Russel Peters once said "We could sure use a few in India right now."

Large Fresnel Lens Fire Starter (Survival Preparedness) (Video)

Are you as nature photographer? Do you head into the woods and wilderness a lot? Ever thought about what you will do if you ever get lost and can't find your way back? Hopefully such an event will never happen to you, but you should always be prepared in case something like this ever happens on your photo shoots. Not to mention, having one of these in hand during an emergency or natural disaster will allow you to start a fire relatively easily.

I recently have to thinking about this as I am a nature and wildlife photographer and head into the wilderness pretty often. I got this A4 paper sized Fresnel lens to put in my camera bag so I can be prepared for the unexpected. The large size helps it trap more sunlight and help concentrate more energy into a small area making lighting fires easy, yet the A4 size makes it easy to store it in most laptop compartments on a camera bag. I hope you find this video helpful.

Worst eBay Seller Ever! (greatlength) - May 2015 Vlog

The video clips of this vlog was originally going in a long vlog I was planning on a Kawaii product haul I recently got, but I had such a bad experience with this seller, I decided to put it in a separate video!

Do not buy from the eBay seller "greatlength". If you get something defective from them or not match the description, this seller will go to "great length" to not refund you and go to "great length" to be a pain in the butt to you.

As mentioned and shown in the video, it is not my fault this item is low quality and defective. The seller even said it was probably a bad batch. You'd expect the seller to either offer a full refund or at least send a replacement, but no. This seller decided to try something new: Offer a partial refund with the excuse, because they had to pay for the postage. REALLY? That is your excuse? If you don't want to loose out on money, don't sell crappy products like this. Now they want me to return the items, which cost less than $2 total, from the US back to China. I don't get the logic. They have to pay for the shipping obviously, and it will be at least 5x the cost of of the product itself. Not only are they wasting my time, they are wasting their money.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THE EBAY SELLER "GREATLENGTH". THE SELLER IS INSANE!

I had to rant, I feel it is a disservice not to share this with the rest of the eBay community about this scam seller. Don't get ripped off, stay away from "greatlength".
