Shark Fin Cove & Bonny Doon Beach - Davenport/Santa Cruz, CA

Last month I took a trip to Shark Fin Cove in Davenport, CA and took a few photos of Bonny Doon Beach in Santa Cruz, CA before I left. After that, I visited Half Moon Bay (but the photos from that will be in the next blog post).

Shark Fin Cove is known for its iconic "Shark Tooth" or "Shark Fin" shaped rock that is slightly off the shore. While the beach is a big hard to get down to (pretty steep climb), it is worth it once you get down there. Some other names this beach goes by is Shark Tooth Beach, Shark Tooth Cove, Shark Fin Beach, and Davenport Cove. I didn't actually go down to the beach this time, but I did a few years back (you can view the photos here). On this trip, I mainly just took photos and videos with my DSLR and quadcopter. You can view those with the following links: DSLR video, aerial video, aerial photos, and vlog.

I took the trip on August 15th, 2016. I took quite a lot of trips/photo shoots in the month of August, so I didn't have much time to work on my photos. Then in September, I experienced several viral infections (my immune system is horrible) which delayed my photo processing even further. This is why I'm only getting around to posting these photos now. I hope you enjoy.

Full Resolution Photos and Prints: If you want to see full resolution photos or buy prints of any of the photos you see, they are up on my portfolio for viewing. To see my best photos from the Santa Cruz area, use this link. To see all of my photos from this trip, use this link.

I felt the boat and the artist together in one shot made a good composition.

Right before I left, I decided to walk around a bit and spotted a place to get a scenery shot of Bonny Doon Beach in Santa Cruz, CA.
