San Francisco, CA (8/2/2018) - Cellphone Photos

On August 8th, 2018, I had to go see a doctor in San Francisco, CA. I took some cellphone photos while I was in the city. I hope you enjoy viewing the photos.

San Francisco, CA 11-16-2013 (Part 2)

Recently (well technically around half a month ago), on 11-16-2013, there was a photo walk in San Francisco that I had participated in. I am here to show you some of the photos I shot while on the photowalk. The photos will be from the Embarcadero, the Financial District, and Chinatown. I will be splitting the photos into 2 parts.

Full Resolution Photos and Prints: If you want to see full resolution photos or buy prints of any of the photos you see, they are up on my portfolio for viewing. To view my best San Francisco photos, use this link. To view all of my photos from this San Francisco trip, use this link.

The photos for today are from Chinatown and the Embarcadero (Pier 14).

Message from the Photographer: Since the road trip photos from my trip traveling from the SF Bay Area to Victoria, BC, Canada is going to be a very long, I decided I'm going to splice these San Francisco photos in the middle as these were pretty recent. I hope you enjoy viewing these photos!

A mural in Chinatown. One of my followers told me there is a different up on the street view on Google Maps. I checked, they do! No wonder this mural looked so new when I took the photo.

Now some street photography shots in Chinatown.

More street photography. Here are photos of shrimp. The box in the front directly translates to American Shrimp. Sadly I can't read the other one. I'm not very good at reading Chinese.

You know you are in Chinatown when... LOL I'm sorry if this sounds racist, but I'm Chinese and I thought it was funny.

More street photography... Read the above caption... LOL Photo shot at same location above.

At this point, the rest of the photo walk group went to go get drinks at a bar. I'm obviously not 21 yet, so I left. Here is a photo of some photos of duck wings in a restaurant. Sure looked delicious... I ended up getting some beef tendons. I got some once, and they were so delicious. So I get some when ever I head to Chinatown now.

Here is another photo. The restaurant owner started shouting at me in Cantonese (which I don't speak) so I stopped taking photos. Not sure why. I was planning to buy some food there... But maybe it was because it was too crowded inside.

I then walked down to Pier 14 at the Embarcadero. Yes, I walked! I took BART there that day. Here is a photo of sunset and moon rise. The bridge you see is the Bay Bridge. I caught the moment with my telephoto lens

Here is another photo of the moon rise further down Pier 14.

I then waited for the moon to rise up even more. Here is another photo.

After the moon rose over the Bay Bridge just a bit, I decided to shoot a panorama. This was the photo NBC Bay Area asked me for permission to use. See that blog post here.

Here is a photo of the same scenery but not as a panorama. The island you are looking at is Treasure Island and the bridge is the Bay Bridge.

A photo of the Coit Tower from Pier 14 during sunset.

These are all the photos for today. I hope you have enjoyed viewing them. Next time I continue my road trip photos traveling from the SF Bay Area to Victoria, BC, Canada. San Francisco, CA (Part 1)

I recently visited San Francisco because I had something to do there. I also brought my camera that trip. So I am here to show you what I got. I visited the Mission District (1 photo) and the rest of my photos are from the Powell Street area and Chinatown. All the photos (except for the Mission District one which I just hand held) where stabilized using the Joby Gorillapod Focus.

Full Resolution Photos and Prints: If you want to see full resolution photos or buy prints of any of the photos you see, they are up on my portfolio for viewing. Photo taken near the 24th Street/Mission Street BART station. This was my only shot from the Mission District. A lot of street art on the walls.

Intersection of California Street and Stockton Street. To shoot these photos, I waited for the walk sign to light up, and I quickly ran into the middle of the street, level my camera, and take a shot. Risky, but the results are worth it. :)

A Trip to Las Vegas (Part 3)

So a while back I went to Las Vegas or as some people call it "Sin City". People usually think of Las Vegas as a place to gamble, get married, watch show girls strip, and have fun, but that isn't the only thing about Las Vegas. There are lot's of shows in Las Vegas. All the buildings are like pieces of artwork that famous artists and architects created. It's amazing how people can create such a big and crowded city in the middle of the desert. It's called "Sin City" because of the gambling and the strip clubs there. Guess what? They were passing out naked show girl pictures on the streets. At first I was like, what could that be? I took one and I was like "OH GOD! GET THAT AWAY FROM ME!" LOL Should have listened in my friends warning. XD At least they covered the private parts with hearts and stuff. I had a lot of fun watching the shows... Well the family appropriate shows. LOL Didn't waste too much money either on this trip. HAHA

Some of the pictures maybe a little bit out of order, because I took some pictures with my DSLR and some with my Nokia N97. The naming system is a bit different so Microsoft Windows sorts them out different for me.

Full Resolution Photos and Prints: If you want to see full resolution photos or buy prints of any of the photos (well most of the photos) you see, they are up on my portfolio for viewing here.
