SR-108 & Pacific Crest Trail (Part 2) - Stanislaus/Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest

From July 5th, 2019 to July 7th, 2019, I took a trip to Mammoth Lakes, CA. I visited places such as Stanislaus National Forest, Lee Vining, Devils Postpile National Monument, Ansel Adams Wilderness, and more! The photos I took on this trip are split into 12 blog posts. In this blog post, I have part 2 of my photos from the trip. The photos are shot on July 5th, 2019. Photos are from State Route 108 in Stanislaus National Forest and the section of Pacific Crest Trail near Sonora Pass in Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest.

Message From The Photographer: If you've been following me on social media, you'd know I've been dealing with vision impairment and gradual vision loss since August 2018. The conditions are neurological, so my vision isn't impaired the same amount on a daily basis, but overall it seems to be going down hill. It has slowed down and made taking photos, processing photos, using computers, etc... very challenging and somewhat depressing. Some days it is impossible for me to take photos or process them. I know these photos are from a very long time ago, but I'm only just starting to get around in processing them as I'm only able to work on them at a very slow pace. I hope you can understand, and I hope you enjoy viewing these photos.

Purisima Creek Redwoods & Forest of SF Bay Peninsula (Cellphone Shots)

Yesterday, April 4th, 2019, I had several hours to spare around the San Francisco Bay Area peninsula area. I had several hours between appointments with no plans at all. I explored the forest around the peninsula area (along State Route 35), and a tiny bit of Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve. Here are the cellphone photos I took yesterday. This was a bit of a last minute decision so I didn't have a proper camera with me. I will definitely go back to the area soon with a proper camera.

Unfortunately my hike at this park was cut very short due to weather. It was extremely foggy (I could feel it on my face), and because this was a last minute decision, I didn't have enough clothing on me and it was super cold. There were very strong winds at the top of the forest at the canopy level. I wasn't sure if it was raining or if the wind blew residual rain off the trees, but I got a bit wet. The trail was also pretty wet and somewhat slippery.

Sunset (Part 6) - Stanislaus/Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest

On July 2nd, 2017 and July 8th, 2017, I took day trips to the Stanislaus National Forest and Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in California. I traveled to places along State Route 108. The two trips were taken for photography, videos, and scouting out potential camping areas for my next trips. During July, there were still snow on the mountains, which I got quite some photos of. I will be splitting the photos into 6 parts. I hope you enjoy the photos. I also shot cellphone photos and scenery video on these trips. You can view them if you wish.
