I review the 3 feet Anker PowerLine USB-C to USB 3.0 Cable. This is a USB-C cable that is up to USB-C specifications with a 56k Ohm pull-up resistor which is required to denote that cable uses the legacy standard for backwards compatibility. Also this product comes with Anker's great customer support. I have been Anker's customer for years. Most of my products are good, but when I do have a problem, Anker's customer support always corrects things for me (when with-in the warranty period). This is why I am still their customer even after all these years. In the video, I also compare this cable to the Choetech USB-C to USB 2.0 cable.
Please note that any USB-C cable with USB-A plug on one end will not charge your 5V 3A devices at the maximum current. Legacy USB-A chargers go up to 5V 2.4A max. As mentioned, in my testing with my Huawei Nexus 6P, I didn't notice too big of a charging speed difference even with the lower current output.

I have been with Choetech for years and all of their products has been high quality and never broke on me before (with the exception of a charger which got fried due to a DOA Anker power bank). I review the small Giottos Rocket Air Blaster. This is a great little tool blowing dust off your lens and sensor of your DSLR. I personally find this helpful when I'm bringing a small photography bag (when I don't need my full set up). This tool fits in my small photography bag very nicely. As mentioned in the video, I always blow off my lens before using a cleaning cloth to get rid of any sand or hard debris that might otherwise scratch the lens. I highly recommend you bring an air blower in your camera bag.

In this video I give you an overview and review of the Polaroid SelfieDisc. As dumb as the name sounds, this device helps you take more than just selfies on your phone. It can turn your phone into a wireless Bluetooth shutter and video trigger for your DSLR (works with Canon, Nikon, Sony, and Pentax). It can also help you with long exposures and time lapses. It is one of my most favorite tools I use in my photography.

I will also show you the charge results with my Nexus 6 and compare it to the Anker 40 Watt 5 Port USB charger (regular USB charger with 5v 2.4A max per USB port).
Are you as nature photographer? Do you head into the woods and wilderness a lot? Ever thought about what you will do if you ever get lost and can't find your way back? Hopefully such an event will never happen to you, but you should always be prepared in case something like this ever happens on your photo shoots. Not to mention, having one of these in hand during an emergency or natural disaster will allow you to start a fire relatively easily.
In this video, I show you, review, and demonstrate the Light My Fire 2.0 Army Swedish FireSteel, a compact fire starter. This is an okay fire starter for emergencies, but I would not go to this fire starter as my first choice of tools for fire starting. As mentioned in the video, I had much better luck with a Fresnel lens on a sunny day than with this.
As mentioned, the fire starting demonstration in this video was done in less than ideal conditions. The test was shot a day after a huge rain storm hit California. The air and ground was still pretty humid and wet, and so was the pine needles I used as a fuel source. I did some testing with it off camera several days back when it was dry outside, and the fire steel ignited shredded printer paper and shredded newspaper by themselves in under a minute.
Overall I would recommend you carry this inside your camera bag or bug out bag as a backup fire starter in case your main methods of fire starting (like a lighter) fails to work.

A video review of the Anker Zolo Magnetic Car Mount. Final thoughts on the device: If you use wireless charging capabilities of your phone, do not get this car mount! If you don't use wireless charging or your phone does not have the function, I would recommend this car mount (as long as you find a suitable location in your car to mount). A detailed review of the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens. This is a very light weight lens, great for backpacking. I often use this lens for wildlife and flowers (on tall trees). So far no issues. Even though it is constructed out of plastic, this is one rugged lens. I have hit this on walls and other objects when it hangs on my neck, and it has been over a year and still working strong! The zoom is great, and I love the bokeh (make sure you watch the photo slideshow at the end).
If you are a beginner or intermediate photographer on a tight budget and want to start with wildlife photography, this is a definitely a must have for your kit. Remember that EF-S mount lenses are not compatible with full frame DSLRs! If you might upgrade, definitely go for a EF mount lens like this one!

Backpack reviews are a bit hard to do in text, which is why I made a video on it, but I will do my best to do a summary in text for you guys. :) The Vanguard Uprise 43 Zoom Expandable Sling Camera Bag is a great backpack for your photography equipment. It features several large storage areas with adequate padding to minimize the chance of damage to your equipment, and a door providing easy and quick access to your camera on the go. Caught out in the rain? No problem! This Vanguard backpack comes with a rain cover in a dedicated storage pocket to help prevent water damage to your gear! I have used this backpack for about a year now and it has never failed me, however it is starting to get a bit small on me as I get more camera equipment. As you can see in the video, I have quite a lot of things I wish to bring along, but most beginner photographers will definitely not have that much equipment. It is a great bag, don't get the wrong idea here, and I recommend it to all photographers who have a medium amount of equipment. It is a great starting backpack for beginner photographers!
