Valle Vista Staging Area - 1/17/2017 (EBMUD Park) - Moraga, CA

I went up to a East Bay MUD Park at Valle Vista Staging Area in Moraga, CA and Redwood Regional Park in Oakland, CA on January 17th, 2017. My original plan was to hike only in the East Bay MUD Park that day, however that hike was cut short when I came across a giant tree that fell over and blocked the hiking trail. The photos from Redwood Regional Park can be viewed here. If you have been watching the news lately, you'll know the San Francisco Bay Area has been hit with several mega storms recently. I've been out hiking and taking photos of the aftermath of the storms. In this blog post, I will share with you the photos I took at the East Bay MUD Park. I hope you enjoy viewing these photos. I also shot vlog on this trip, you can view it here.

East Bay & EBMUD Park Trips - January 2016 Vlog (Part 3)

January 2017 was a very active month. I decided to split the vlog content into 3 parts. The other 2 parts is here:
San Francisco Bay Area was hit with a giant mega storm that lasted weeks. I did visit some East Bay Regional Parks and EBMUD Parks on the days it wasn't raining though. In this vlog, I show you the effects the mega storm and some scenery from the parks.

In this vlog:
  • Redwood Regional Park in Oakland, CA.
  • I test out my Sawyer PointOne Squeeze Water Filter.
  • Briones Reservoir in Moraga, CA (EBMUD).
  • Upper San Leandro Reservoir at the part at Valle Vista Staging Area in Valle Vista, CA (EBMUD). This hiking trip was cut short because a giant tree fell in the middle of the hiking trail.
  • More from Redwood Regional Park in Oakland, CA.
  • Lake Chabot Regional Park in Castro Valley, CA.

Lafayette Reservoir & Las Trampas Regional Wilderness - SF Bay Area, CA

Last month I took a trip to Lafayette Reservoir in Lafayette, CA with a friend and dropped by Las Trampas Regional Wilderness in Contra Costa County, CA on the way back. I took quite some scenery and wildlife photos at these 2 locations. Today, I will be sharing the photos I took over there with you.

I took the trip on August 8th, 2016. I took quite a lot of trips/photo shoots in the month of August, so I didn't have much time to work on my photos. Then in September, I experienced several viral infections (my immune system is horrible) which delayed my photo processing even further. This is why I'm only getting around to posting these photos now. I hope you enjoy.
