Victoria Butterfly Gardens (Part 2) - Central Saanich, BC

From 7/17/2013 to 8/2/2013, I took a road trip from the SF Bay Area to Vancouver, BC, Canada. Half of the trip was spent driving up the west coast. On my trip, I visited many famous places such as Seattle, Butchart Gardens, Mount Rainier, and much more. Obviously I got many coastal shots and many places that isn't as famous. The reason I am posting it now is because the high amount of photos I took equaled a high amount of processing time. I took a bit over 2000 photos on the trip. After stitching the panoramas, compositing the HDRs, and picking out photos from the repeats, I have a bit over 1000 photos to show you guys. The photos will be split into parts. I will link you to the previous and next parts on each post just like I did with my Death Valley National Park photos and my Yellowstone/Grand Teton National Park photos. Today I have part 2 of Victoria Butterfly Gardens in Central Saanich, BC, Canada. Since I took many many photos at this place, I will be splitting them into several blog posts.

"Interesting" Animal Photos

I'll try to keep things as "clean" as possible for this blog post because I don't want to get in trouble with Blogger/Google. Reptile & Amphibian House/Alligator/Baboon - Oakland Zoo in Oakland, CA (Part 5)

I know that I am posting these photos a little bit late, but here they are anyways. So last year (12/7/2012), my biology professor took the whole class on a field trip (as one of our labs) to the Oakland Zoo in Oakland, CA to teach us biology. While I was there, I took many photos of the animals and I am here to show you them. I have to say, I am not a big fan of zoos, but it sure is a great place for animal photos! If you love animal photos like me, definitely give your local zoo a visit. All of these photos were shot using my Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens on my Canon EOS 7D.

Message from the Photographer: Sorry about not posting recently! I've been busy with school work (end of the semester). Also, I've been really bummed out because my camera sensor has been pretty dirtied up and my rocket air blower and the auto clean function isn't doing anything to the 20-30 dust particles. I probably have to send it into Canon to get it cleaned. Really sad because I was originally planning to go on vacation beginning next week, but I won't have a camera to use if I do. I might have to postpone my trip. :/ It is kind of stressing me out plus my school work so I totally forgot to post.

Today, I just have photos of a turtle, poison dart frogs, some amphibians (not sure what the specific names are), alligators, and Hamadryas Baboons (Papio hamadryas).
