Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge - Fremont, CA

On the 26th November 2024, my parents and I visited Alviso Marina County Park and the Alviso District in San Jose, CA, and Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge in Fremont, CA. This was the first time I've headed to Alviso to see the salt flats, and it is amazing! I didn't know about Alviso until I saw photos from another photographer that I know. This blog post has my photos from Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge in Fremont, CA. We decided to drop by for more cloud photos before heading home since it was on the route back. All the photos were shot on Shoreline Trail.

Dumbarton Bridge - Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge - Fremont, CA (Cellphone Photos)

Mission Peak Regional Preserve - Fremont, CA (Cellphone Photos)

On March 11th, 2021, I went on a hiking trip to the top of Mission Peak in Mission Peak Regional Preserve in Fremont, CA. I hiked up Mission Peak from Sunol Regional Wilderness in Sunol, CA through San Francisco Water District land (Ohlone Regional Wilderness in Alameda County, CA). I took scenery photos with my phone and mirrorless camera, and my mom helped me take a few photos of me with my phone. The photos from my mirrorless camera are split into 2 blog posts, and another blog post for my cellphone photos. I hope you enjoy the photos.

This was a very special hike for me. I have not been able to successfully make it up to the top of Mission Peak in almost 20 years! The last time I reached the peak, I was still a child. On the previous hike that I reached the peak, I hiked up with my family from the Stanford Avenue Staging Area in Fremont, CA.

Please note that if you are hiking on trails through San Francisco Water District land and Ohlone Regional Wilderness, you have to purchase an annual Ohlone Wilderness Permit.

This is an 100% crop of one of the photos I took with my mirrorless camera. This is of Mt. Hamilton and the Lick Observatory. It snowed quite a bit the day before. The RAW image has not been processed yet.

Fremont, CA (Part 7) - Niles Canyon Stroll & Roll

On September 22nd, 2019, I attended the 2019 Niles Canyon Stroll & Roll event where Niles Canyon Road, the part of State Route 84 traveling through Fremont, CA, Union City, CA, and Sunol, CA, is closed down for most of one day a year for bikers and pedestrians to travel on. Message From The Photographer: If you've been following me on social media, you'd know I've been dealing with vision impairment and gradual vision loss since August 2018. The conditions are neurological, so my vision isn't impaired the same amount on a daily basis, but overall it seems to be going down hill. It has slowed down and made taking photos, processing photos, using computers, etc... very challenging and somewhat depressing. Some days it is impossible for me to take photos or process them. I know these photos are from a very long time ago, but I'm only just starting to get around in processing them as I'm only able to work on them at a very slow pace. I hope you can understand, and I hope you enjoy viewing the photos.
