A few photos of a newt shot on Ridgeline Trail. The hot spot is due to the flashlight I was using to shoot this. The photo was shot at night. Since I do night photography and sometimes go for walks and hikes at night, I have super bright flashlights. I saw this newt on my hike down the mountain.

Bug Macros

Merry Christmas and happy holidays people! I know this doesn't quite fit the holiday spirit, but it is the only blog post I have drafted currently so it will have to do. I hope you enjoy the macros.

On December 22nd, 2016, I noticed a spider and a bug in my bathroom. Being a photographer, I got excited and decided to do some macro photography of my buggy subjects. The photos are shot using my Canon EOS 5D Mark III with my Kenko Extension Tubes and Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens.

Full Resolution Photos: If you want to see full resolution photos of any of the photos you see here, use the following links. If you wish to purchase prints of any of the photos, please contact me here. To see all of my photos I shot at home from 2014 to 2016, use this link.

A bug I found on the wall. It is around 3mm long. It was pretty tough to take a photo of even with macro equipment due to its small size.

Pleasanton Autumn Foliage & Mushrooms (11/7/2016)

Last month, I went on a photo shoot of autumn foliage and mushrooms around Pleasanton, CA. It is that time of the year again, and after some rain storms, the mushrooms began to grow too. I would have shared these photos earlier, but I have been quite busy since the past month so I didn't get around to processing the photos until recently. I hope you enjoy though. The photos in this blog post is shot on 11/7/2016.

My Bunny, Photo Shoots, Black Friday Haul - November 2016 Vlog

While I didn't do much for most of November, I did get quite busy on the last several days of the month. As you know, the end of November is always busy with Thanksgiving and Black Friday. My main content in this video would be of my bunny (Berg), scenery from my photo shoots, and my Black Friday haul.

Choetech USB-C Charger Review (Video)

The Choetech USB-C Charger is a great charger for your USB smartphone. The charger can output a maximum of 5v 3A. The slim design and shape allows the charger to not cover extra electrical outlets on an electrical outlet strip and makes it easy to carry.

Please note that this is not a USB-C PD charger. It will not provide charging at full speed to USB-C laptops or any USB-C device that requires more than 5v 3A. This charger will still charge them, but not at the maximum speed.

Choetech USB-C to C 2.0 6.6ft Cable Review (Video)

The Choetech cable I am reviewing in this video is a 6.6ft (2m) USB-C to USB-C 2.0 cable. This cable is great for charging your USB-C phone or transferring data between your USB-C computer and USB-C phone.

Again, please note that USB-C is only a new plug type. It does not dictate which version USB it is (1.0, 2.0, 3.0, etc). The cable I am reviewing here is a USB 2.0 cable capable of up to 480 Mbps transfer speeds. If you are only using a cable to charge your device, it doesn't matter which version of USB you get.

In this product review, I also compare it to Choetech's competitor, Anker's USB-C cable.

Anker USB-C to C 2.0 6ft Cable review can be found here.

Anker PowerLine USB-C to C 2.0 6ft Cable Review (Video)

The Anker PowerLine cable I am reviewing in this video is a 6ft USB-C to USB-C 2.0 cable. This cable is great for charging your USB-C phone or transferring data between your USB-C computer and USB-C phone. Anker claims this cable has a 5000+ plug bend life cycle.
