Fort Point National Historic Site (Part 3) - San Francisco, CA

I recently took a trip Fort Mason the the Presidio area in San Francisco, CA on 10/10/2014. I have shot photos of Fort Mason, Golden Gate Bridge, and Fort Point National Historic Area. I know this was the day of the Blue Angles air show, but I had no clue it was that until I got there. The only lens I had with me was a wide angle lens, so no airplane photos this year. Sorry! I still hope you enjoy viewing these scenery photos though! If you've been following me on here long enough, some of these photos may seem familiar. That is because I have visited this place before and posted photos from it. You can view those photos here.

Today I have the rest of the photos from this trip to San Francisco. All the photos for today are shot inside Fort Point National Historic Site.

The hallway inside Fort Point. I loved the repeating pattern of the arches. You probably guessed it. There is no GPS signal under all this brick. So no location info for you guys.

The end of one of the hallways. I loved the glow inside the small space.

One last photo shot in the main courtyard of Fort Point. I thought the flag and the clouds in the sky made a great scenery shot.

The photos for today are from my walk towards Fort Point and photos from inside Fort Point National Historic Site. The photos from Fort Point will be separated into two blog posts, so I will finish up with the photos in the next blog post.

Starting my walk toward Fort Point. The bridge you see is the Golden Gate Bridge and Fort Point is right under that. Marin is on the other side of the bridge.

An American flag flying up at the top of Fort Point. Took several photos of the flag, and this was the best (in my opinion) in the series. The wind up at the roof was really unpredictable and blowing very strongly. While I was taking photos up there, I felt as if the wind was blowing me backwards a few times.

The photos for today are from Fort Mason and the Presidio area. Photos are of Fort Mason, the Golden Gate Bridge, some far away shots of Fort Point, and the main part of San Francisco.

First I start off with photos from Fort Mason. This is the grass area at Fort Mason. In the distance you can see the Golden Gate Bridge. There were some really nice looking clouds in the sky that day.

Partial Solar Eclipse 10-23-2014 - Pleasanton, CA

There was a partial solar eclipse yesterday on 10/23/2014. I shot these photos of the partial solar eclipse from my front yard in Pleasanton, CA. I shot these photos at 300mm with two ND filters (5 stop + 9 stop) and a polarizer as layers of protection. I hope you enjoy viewing these photos. If you look closely, you can see some of the sunspots in my photos.
