Mount Diablo SP On A Rainy Day (Cellphone Photos)

On the 24th September 2025, my mom and I went to Mount Diablo State Park in Contra Costa County, CA for a day trip. I purposely went on a cloudy and rainy day to see the clouds. I took photos with my cellphone. I hope you enjoy viewing my photos!

After this photo, my mom and I waited in the car for an hour due to heavy rain. It was so heavy, it was occasionally interfering with the free WiFi signal from the Mount Diablo Summit Visitor Center.

Del Valle Regional Park - Livermore, CA (Cellphone Photos)

Yesterday, on the 14th March 2025, my parents and I drove into the hills behind Livermore, CA to see snow on the peaks near Lake Del Valle. I saw photos of snowy peaks online in the morning, but unfortunately all of it melted by the time we got there in the afternoon. Someone online said the snow last probably 30 minutes past sunrise, before a warmer storm moved in and melted all of it. Despite there being no snow, the fog and clouds were beautiful. My mom and I took a walk along East Ridge Trail in Del Valle Regional Park in Livermore, CA. I took a few photos with my cellphone. I hope you enjoy viewing my photos!

Before you head to East Ridge Trail, just know the trail is super muddy and soft after the rain storms. If you don't want to walk through that, you might want to give it a few days for the trail to dry out.

Elephant Seals at Drakes Beach - Point Reyes National Seashore (Marin County, CA)

On 29 January 2023, my parents and I took a trip to Point Reyes National Seashore in Marin County, CA to see elephant seal pups at Drakes Beach. It was a very cloudy and overcast day, and I even got rained on for short periods of time while photographing the elephant seals. I took photos with my cellphones and mirrorless camera. These photos were shot on my Olympus mirrorless camera. The photos are from Drakes Beach.

Travel Tip: You can't visit Drakes Beach during breeding and pupping season (December 15 through March 31). You can only take photos from the Drakes Beach parking lot during limited hours (10 AM to 4 PM which is when rangers are present). Bring a camera with a telephoto lens if you want good photos. You can also use your phone with a monocular (like me) to get okay results.

Augustin Bernal Park - Pleasanton, CA (Cellphone Photos)

Yesterday, on September 20th, 2017, I took a hike through Augustin Bernal Park in Pleasanton, CA for exercise. Augustin Bernal Park is a Pleasanton park only open to residents of Pleasanton (although you might get away with it if you live in nearby cities). Great place for hiking and a walk through the forest. I took some cellphone photos while there. A monthly travel vlog will also be coming soon. I did get rained on a little through the hike, and you will see why in the photos below.

There used to be a huge tree in the field by the parking lot. Now it is this. Probably fell down in the San Francisco Bay Area mega storms earlier this year.

Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park - Sunol, CA (Cellphone Photos)

Today I took a hiking trip through Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park in Sunol, CA. Had some rain and heavy wind today while there. Saw some wild flower blooms. I shot vlog on this trip too which will come out next month.
