Shadow Cliffs Regional Park (Part 1) - Pleasanton, CA

11-21-2014 was free parking day at Shadow Cliffs Regional Park in Pleasanton, CA. I have not gone to a East Bay Park (at least paid ones) for a very long time now. However, when I saw that it was free parking day that morning, I knew I had to make time to go out shooting. Even though my schedule has been very busy recently, I managed to take sometime out (late in the evening) to head out for some shots. Here are the photos I took on this mini photo shoot. The photos will be divided into 2 blog posts. Hope you enjoy viewing them.

Shadow Cliffs Regional Park is an East Bay Regional Park in Pleasanton, CA. Place includes a lake and several walking trails. Great place for picnicking, fishing, walking, and taking photos! Many birds at this park (especially crows, egrets, turkey vultures, geese, and ducks).

Saw some turkey vultures (Cathartes aura) on the tree in the distance. Did not have my telephoto with me, so I just shot a scenery shot. Still think they add quite a bit to the photo.
