Shadow Cliffs Regional Park

I have 12 photos from Shadow Cliffs Regional Park today. Shadow Cliffs is located in Pleasanton, CA and is one of the parks in the East Bay Park region. These photos were taken last year during December (sorry for the delay). I hope you enjoy viewing them!

Full Resolution Photos and Prints: If you want to see full resolution photos or buy prints of any of the photos you see, they are up on my portfolio for viewing. Close up photo of yellow flower. I'm not sure what type of flower this is.

 Little Blue Heron (Egretta caerulea)
For some reason, the color did not turn out well on this photo. I took 2 photos, not that good.

That is either a seagull or a goose. Not too sure.

Seagulls flying.

There are lots of seagulls flying.

Turkey Vulture (Cathartes aura)
These birds sure are big!

Photography Tip: As I mentioned in some of my previous posts, the best way to take a photo of a bird in flight is to set your camera on Shutter Priority (Tv) and use a fast shutter speed. If you have a Canon EOS camera, also set the focus mode to AL SERVO (may be under different names on other brands of cameras). This will insure your camera will constantly focus on the moving subject.

Help me with the name. Thank you. :)

Ducky butt. XD

Mallard Duck (Anas platyrhynchos)

My guess this is a Long-billed Dowitcher (Limnodromus scolopaceus)

Killdeer (Charadrius vociferus)

That is all the photos today. I hope you have enjoyed viewing it. If you know the flower names, please leave me a comment below. Thank you! Please check back soon for more photos!

If you look closely at this picture, you will spot 2 squirrels. :)

Lots of cows on Mission Peak

This should be a Lazuli Buntin (Passerina amoena)

A close up of the previous picture.
