Hell's Gate/Random Scenery - Death Valley National Park (Part 16)

At the end of November last year (2012), I took a trip to Death Valley National Park. This is the second trip there in my life. The 1st time I went, I was still a little kid, and I didn't start taking photos yet. This time, I have a pro camera and I am ready to shoot the scenery. Death Valley National Park is known for its "out of this world" scenery, UFO sightings, and many other things. The desert is a very mysterious and beautiful place. In this chain of blog posts, I will be showing you mainly photos of Death Valley National Park, but also photos from surrounding areas like The Mojave Desert, Alabama Hills, and Rhyolite Ghost Town. I have picked out over 400 photos from my trip to show you guys and I will be dividing them into many blog posts. Unlike blog  post chains before, I obviously can't put a link of ever blog post on every single blog post, so instead, I will do the same thing I did for my Yellowstone National Park photos before, by sticking a link of the Next and Previous post on each blog post instead.

Full Resolution Photos and Prints: If you want to see full resolution photos or buy prints of any of the photos you see, they are up on my portfolio for viewing. Message from the Photographer: I had a really great time with the other Google+ photographers yesterday talking and shooting at the Chinese New Year Parade in San Francisco. :) It was so fun! I need to attend these things more often. LOL Anyways, so I took around 250 shots including some regular street photography. It was at night so I will need to pick through, adjust the lighting in some of them, and get rid of some of the badly focused photos. I will put in some extra time doing this so it will be pretty fast. Also, since this is a pretty big event, I will be sandwiching those photos between my Death Valley National Park posts. :) Anyways, enough with me talking, onto the photos for today!

Today, I have some random photos on the side of the highway in Death Valley National Park. The places aren't named as I just pulled off to the side randomly. I also have 2 shots from Hell's Gate. I hope you enjoy.

A few shots of the straight highway in Death Valley National Park.

Two photos at Hell's Gate. The entrance into Death Valley National Park. If you are wondering why I have several photos of the entrances into the park, it is because I stayed at hotels outside the park. The ones in the park were too expensive.

Another panorama of the highway.

More photos of the road.

Somewhere on the side of the road.

A bush in the desert.

Was originally going to the view point, but the road was too bumpy for me.

These are all the photos for today! Next time I have photos from Harmony Borax Works and Mustard Canyon. I hope you have enjoyed viewing these photos. Please don't forget to share the blog post with your friends and family members! Also, if you want to get notifications when I post up more photos, "Like" us on Facebook or follow me on Twitter and Google+. These links can also be found on the top of the right sidebar.

Yosemite National Park (Part 2)

"For tens of thousands of years, humans have changed, and have been changed by, this place we now call Yosemite. The Ahwahneechee lived here for generations, followed by the arrival of Europeans in the mid-1800s. The rugged terrain challenged many early travelers, with just a few—only 650 from the mid-1850s to mid-1860s—making the journey to Yosemite Valley by horseback or stagecoach. By 1907, construction of the Yosemite Valley Railroad from Merced to El Portal eased the journey, thereby, increasing visitation. Today, 3.5 million people enter the park’s gates to explore. We learn from the stories of those who walked Yosemite’s trails before us, allowing appreciation of their lasting footprints that led to conscious preservation." ~ From Yosemite National Park Website.

I recently visited Yosemite National Park located in California, USA! I took a lot of amazing pictures and I'm here to share them with you. Please enjoy. I will be posting up more pictures in the days to come. Not all these pictures are from inside the park. I also visited Mono Lake which is right outside the park. Some of the pictures will be from there.

Make sure you also check out the pictures I took at Yosemite several years back here.

You can see in the background, the sign that says Lee Vining. That was the city I stayed in that night. Now leaving Lee Vining (Mono Lake) and pictures of approaching Yosemite.
