As you guys know, ever since I moved out of Fremont, CA, I haven't visited Central Park (Lake Elizabeth) much after. I recently took a few trips there and shot a lot of wildlife photos. I will be splitting the photos into 4 blog posts.

A small story on the next series of squirrel photos. I did go on this photo shoot with a friend. Suddenly I lifted my camera up and started shooting. My puzzled friend asked me what I was taking photos of. These squirrels do a pretty good job at blending in with the dirt, but I've developed a really good skill at picking out even the slightest of movements out of the corner of my eye. Really helps in wildlife photography.

Fremont Central Park (6/9/2014) - Fremont, CA (Part 2)

Monochrome Process - Yosemite National Park 2012/2013

I have only recently started going into monochrome (black and white) photo processing. I have went back and redone some of my old photos into monochrome (black and white) photos. Message from the Photographer: My new portfolio is almost done! I have gotten the photos all uploaded and is now sorting and labeling everything. What changes will this have on you? Well, you will be able to view all of my photos at full resolution instead of a very low resolution Google allows. Also you will be able to buy prints and check out my other works more easily. I hope you enjoy viewing these changes. :) Won't pressure you into buying anything you don't want. I started my portfolio to try to get my work out there and try to offset some of the costs of college and photography, however my main goal is a better viewing experience for all of my viewers, so I hope you enjoy.

As I learn more RAW photo processing techniques, I get better and better with my results. Recently I went back and redone some of my photos that I felt I didn't adequately process the first time through that was worth reprocessing. Message from the Photographer: Remember that a few month back I took a road trip from the SF Bay Area to Vancouver, BC, Canada? I always shoot RAW which requires post processing, but right now I am done with the main processing part. What I am currently on is what I call the "black and white run" which I check to see which photos I like to process in black and white, and process them that way! Once I am done, I will begin posting them here on my blog, and I will also begin setting up my portfolio. 😁 I hope you enjoy viewing these photos!

Birds in Shadow Cliff Regional Park (Pleasanton, CA)

A few month back I visited Shadow Cliff Regional Park in Pleasanton, CA and took a few photos. I am here to show the bird photos I took while in the park. Shadow Cliff Regional Park is a great place for bird watching, fishing, and also picnicking. For photographers, there are usually many birds (especially seagulls and geese) to photograph. During spring, there are also some wildflowers in the park. I find a walk in the park is pretty nice now and then.

Birds in Yosemite Village - Yosemite National Park (Part 8)

Yosemite National Park is a national park located in California that stretches eastern portions of Tuolumne, Mariposa and Madera counties in the central eastern portion of California and covers around 761,268 acres or 3,080.74 km² of land. Yosemite National Park is best known for its waterfalls, deep valleys, grand meadows, giant sequoias, giant wilderness area, and much more. I, personally, love Yosemite National Park. I think it is very beautiful and is a great place for photographs. I also happen to live in the SF Bay Area which isn't very far from it! I try to make at least 1 trip almost every year to the park. I visited the park several month ago and I am here to show you some of the photos I took in the park as well as some photos I took on the way into the park from the SF Bay Area. These photos will be divided over several blog posts. I hope you enjoy the photos! Also, I have route information recorded using a Canon GP-E2 GPS Receiver. Now let's introduce you to the photos for today. The photos for today was from the 2nd day of my trip. The photos are of birds in Yosemite Village. I shot these photos after having a burger lunch at the burger restaurant in the village. The burgers were delicious! It was just a bit expensive, but considering how it is a tourist destination in the middle of a forest, it is expected. Anyways, after I ate, I thought, why not get some bird photos! There were many birds flying around the burger restaurant. There are signs saying not to feed wildlife, but I am sure people still do it. The birds were very tamed so it was a perfect opportunity for some close up photos. All these photos were shot with my Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens on my Canon EOS 5D Mark III.
