Fort Point National Historic Site (Part 3) - San Francisco, CA

I recently took a trip Fort Mason the the Presidio area in San Francisco, CA on 10/10/2014. I have shot photos of Fort Mason, Golden Gate Bridge, and Fort Point National Historic Area. I know this was the day of the Blue Angles air show, but I had no clue it was that until I got there. The only lens I had with me was a wide angle lens, so no airplane photos this year. Sorry! I still hope you enjoy viewing these scenery photos though! If you've been following me on here long enough, some of these photos may seem familiar. That is because I have visited this place before and posted photos from it. You can view those photos here.

Today I have the rest of the photos from this trip to San Francisco. All the photos for today are shot inside Fort Point National Historic Site.

The hallway inside Fort Point. I loved the repeating pattern of the arches. You probably guessed it. There is no GPS signal under all this brick. So no location info for you guys.

The end of one of the hallways. I loved the glow inside the small space.

One of the rooms inside Fort Point facing the stairs right outside.

One last photo shot in the main courtyard of Fort Point. I thought the flag and the clouds in the sky made a great scenery shot.

The photos for today are from my walk towards Fort Point and photos from inside Fort Point National Historic Site. The photos from Fort Point will be separated into two blog posts, so I will finish up with the photos in the next blog post.

Starting my walk toward Fort Point. The bridge you see is the Golden Gate Bridge and Fort Point is right under that. Marin is on the other side of the bridge.

An American flag flying up at the top of Fort Point. Took several photos of the flag, and this was the best (in my opinion) in the series. The wind up at the roof was really unpredictable and blowing very strongly. While I was taking photos up there, I felt as if the wind was blowing me backwards a few times.

This is all the photos for today! I will continue with more photos from Fort Point National Historic Site next time. I hope you have enjoyed viewing the photos! Boeing's Future of Flight - Everett, WA

From 7/17/2013 to 8/2/2013, I took a road trip from the SF Bay Area to Vancouver, BC, Canada. Half of the trip was spent driving up the west coast. On my trip, I visited many famous places such as Seattle, Butchart Gardens, Mount Rainier, and much more. Obviously I got many coastal shots and many places that isn't as famous. The reason I am posting it now is because the high amount of photos I took equaled a high amount of processing time. I took a bit over 2000 photos on the trip. After stitching the panoramas, compositing the HDRs, and picking out photos from the repeats, I have a bit over 1000 photos to show you guys. The photos will be split into parts. I will link you to the previous and next parts on each post just like I did with my Death Valley National Park photos and my Yellowstone/Grand Teton National Park photos. I hope you enjoy viewing the photos.

Full Resolution Photos and Prints: If you want to see full resolution photos or buy prints of any of the photos you see, they are up on my portfolio for viewing. To view my best Washington, USA photos, use this link. To view all of my day 11 photos, use this link.

Today I have photos from Boeing's Future of Flight in Everett, WA. Sadly no photography is allowed on the tour so I only have a few photos from inside the building and outside where photography was allowed. If they catch you with a camera on the tour, you'll be in big trouble with them and the government. LOL If you plan to go on this tour, they do have places for you to store your cameras. I hope you enjoy viewing the photos.

A photo of the flags hung up in the Future of Flight building... Not sure why North Korea is there...

Here is the building itself. I shot these after the tour (the last tour of the day), which is why the area on the left is fenced off.

Now into the museum of Future of Flight.

A wide shot of the museum detailing the several objects on display.

Another photo from the museum.

This details the giant engines used to fly a plane.

The giant landing gear of airplanes.

Another photo of the flags in the Future of Flight building.

I then went outside (since they were closing) to get a few photos from the outside. The following photos were all shot from the same place.

I switched over to my telephoto lens and shot a few photos. This photo is of Mount Rainier off in the distance.

Here is a photo of Mount Vernon.

Some airplanes parked out in the airfield.

A private jet taking off.

These are all the photos for today and for the 11th day. I hope you have enjoyed them. Next time I will continue with photos from Seattle, WA.
