Golden Canyon/Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes - Death Valley NP (Part 5)

After CES Las Vegas in January (photos here), I vacationed a bit. One of the places I went to is Death Valley National Park. I visited the park January 15th through the 16th in 2018 and took many photos. I split the photos from the park into 11 parts. The cellphone photos I shot can be viewed here.

Golden Canyon Interpretive Trail - Death Valley National Park (Part 21)

At the end of November last year (2012), I took a trip to Death Valley National Park. This is the second trip there in my life. The 1st time I went, I was still a little kid, and I didn't start taking photos yet. This time, I have a pro camera and I am ready to shoot the scenery. Death Valley National Park is known for its "out of this world" scenery, UFO sightings, and many other things. The desert is a very mysterious and beautiful place. In this chain of blog posts, I will be showing you mainly photos of Death Valley National Park, but also photos from surrounding areas like The Mojave Desert, Alabama Hills, and Rhyolite Ghost Town. I have picked out over 400 photos from my trip to show you guys and I will be dividing them into many blog posts. Unlike blog  post chains before, I obviously can't put a link of ever blog post on every single blog post, so instead, I will do the same thing I did for my Yellowstone National Park photos before, by sticking a link of the Next and Previous post on each blog post instead.

Full Resolution Photos and Prints: If you want to see full resolution photos or buy prints of any of the photos you see, they are up on my portfolio for viewing. Today, I have the last 9 photos from Golden Canyon Interpretive Trail. I hope you enjoy viewing these photos. The photos for today will include some wildlife photos, HDR landscapes as well as some regular landscapes.

A lizard I spotted in Golden Canyon. I immediately switched on my telephoto lens and started shooting away.
Update 3-12-2013: According to a commenter this is a Side-Blotched Lizard (Uta stansburiana)

I did some Google search on the species but I can't seem to find it. If you know, please help me out in the comments below.

Another photo of the lizard.

HDR composition

Would make a great emergency shelter for short people. HAHA There was this crevice right in the rocks.

HDR composition of a rock formation.

Another HDR composition.

These are all the photos for today! I hope you have enjoyed viewing them. Next time I have photos from Devil's Golf Course. Today, I have 6 of the photos I took from Golden Canyon Interpretive Trail. I will post the rest of them in the next post. I took a total of 15 photos there but didn't want to overload your computer with loading so many photos so I will be splitting them into 2 parts. I generally don't put over 12-14 photos per post because I find that it might crash older computers that doesn't have enough RAM, plus it helps with the loading time too! :) If you are wondering why I did a 6/9 split instead of a 7/8 split, it is because several of the photos go together as a group and I didn't want to split those. I hope you enjoy viewing these photos. The photos for today will include some HDR landscapes as well as some regular landscapes.

HDR Scenery

Regular landscapes on the trail.

More regular landscapes on the trail.

Another HDR landscape.

These are all the photos for today! I hope you have enjoyed viewing them! Next time I will have the rest of my Golden Canyon Interpretive Trail photos which will include some wildlife shots and some more landscape photos. Please don't forget to share the blog post with your friends and family members!
