Arroyo Del Valle Trail Squirrels and Birds

Like I said last time, this post will be on the animals of Pleasanton Trail (or the Arroyo Del Valle Trail, but I can never remember the spelling. XD). I hope you enjoy the photos! Arroyo Del Valle Trail is located in Pleasanton, CA.

It's a boy! :P

I did not see that until I was sorting out the photos. LOL I showed it to some of my friends, half of them think its his "thing" and the other half thinks the squirrel is just doing #2. Tell me what you think in the comments!

I was actually thinking about whether or not to post this photo as some people may find this inappropriate for younger viewers, but I decided to post it anyways. I mean, it's just nature right?

If you want to see more photos like this, visit my portfolio gallery here

There are a lot of walnut trees on the trail. The squirrels eat a lot!

This photo makes me think of Spiderman... Maybe because of how the squirrel is hanging on the tree sideways...

Black-capped Chickadee (Poecile atricapillus)
I tried to get a still image without blurring up, but this bird was just flying all over the place. LOL So there is a slight motion blur.

I'm guessing this is a Little Blue Heron (Egretta caerulea).

I think this is a Snowy Egret (Egretta thula).

I'm guessing this is a Black Phoebe (Sayornis nigricans)

I made my best guess on the names of the birds, but I could be wrong. If you think I'm wrong, please leave me a comment below! :) Thanks for viewing! A trip to Yellowstone/Grand Teton National Park (Part 7)

Hello! This is the pictures of my trip to Yellowstone/Grand Teton National Park. Not all pictures are of the inside of Yellowstone/Grand Teton National Park. I visited Idaho Falls, Mormon Church in Salt Lake City, and some other places along the way. :) So please enjoy!

Today I have pictures of hot springs and deers.

Sorry for the delay on the photos. I ran out of storage space for my pictures and had to upgrade which took sometime and I was experiencing some upload problems with Blogger's photo upload. So my posts got delayed quite some time. I was planning on posting these yesterday, but things didn't turn out the way I planned.

Fountain Paint Pots

Scenery...

Silex Spring

Snake River? Not sure. LOL Enjoy the scenery! Taken when my dad was driving BTW, that is why the bottom is blurry.

If you take a closer look at this picture, I think the deer pooped and I caught a picture of it with the poop still half way in the air. XD Read more on this blog post.

Lots of deers or elk. Not sure which. HAHA
Photography tip: I used a tripod for the deer pictures. They were really far away and I had to zoom a lot. This is an appropriate time to use a tripod.

Random Scenery!

Emerald Spring

Still Emerald Spring

Steamboat Geyser

Cistern Spring

There is more hot springs pictures next post. Hope you aren't getting bored. XD That is all Yellowstone offers. LOL Kinda...

Deer Poop And The Model Buffalo

Now looking back at my Yellowstone pictures. Well before that, you know how photographers take several pictures consecutively just in case the first picture is bad? Well I think I took a picture of a deer pooping with the poop still half way in the air. XD Take a look. Look closely at behind the deer with the GPS collar, you'll see this blob of stuff. (You can click the photo to view the full size)

Now onto the story of how I almost walked into a bison. So there was bisons all around me... There was one in the middle of the sidewalk. It was lunch time, and I was kind of sleepy. It being a real bison didn't really occur to me. I was like, that model of a bison sure look life like... Then I got super close, maybe like less than 10 feet away. I was like, wait! something is wrong. Why is no one petting it and taking pictures with it? o_O Then I saw it turn its head towards me and grunted twice through its nose (probably a warning), and in my mind I was like WTF? IT WAS NOT A MODEL? I was about to turn around and run, but as any wilderness survival book would tell you, do not turn around and run at a time like that. A warning is not threatening, if you run, you may trigger the wildlife's killing instincts. You are suppose to back off slowly and don't show any signs of fear. Dude, that seriously scared the shit out of me!

This is the buffalo in the middle of the sidewalk.

This is the buffalo turning its head towards me and giving me a warning. -__-

Well please wait for my Yellowstone pictures on my photography blog soon. :)
