Victoria Harbor & City Night Photography - Hong Kong (Part 3)

In the month of December in 2013, I took a trip to China to visit relatives and to travel places and take photos. On this trip, I visited Jiangsu (江苏), Anhui (安徽), Hong Kong (香港), and Macau (澳门). I took many photos on this trip and I will be splitting them into many parts. I will do my best in these blog post to describe the photos, however due to the lack of map data for China (on Google) and my horrible Chinese, I may not be able to give you too much details on certain things. At the time of visit, the smog in China is very heavy. In many of the photos, you will see what looks to be fog or haze, but it is the smog (pollution) in China. Be warned, that the pollution in China is not at safe levels. I started coughing less than one week into the trip, and I did not recover until the beginning of March this year (2014). Many individuals in China had the same cough I got. If you haven't done so, you can view my vlogs here. I already posted all my vlogs (of the entire trip) on Youtube, but these photos will come out in parts.

Here is Part 3 of Hong Kong, China, S.A.R. (香港特区). The photos for today are night photography shots near and at Victoria Harbor with a food photo from Wan Chai road.

 First photo is from near Victoria Harbor on Lock Road. Relatives wanted to some shopping in the city. So I was away from Victoria Harbor for a bit.

Back out of Victoria Harbor to the The Peninsula (半島酒店). It is said to be one of the world's most expensive hotels. I was surprised that the clouds showed up in the image!

Here is a photo of the Hong Kong Space Museum (香港太空馆) at night. I love the round shape of the building.

Here is Part 2 of Hong Kong, China, S.A.R. (香港特区). The photos for today are from Nan Lian Garden (南蓮園池), near Victoria Harbor, and sunset shots from Victoria Harbor and Avenue of Stars (星光大道). Sights includes the The Peninsula (半島酒店) and Two International Finance Centre.

I first start off with photos from Nan Lian Garden (南蓮園池).

我先有南蓮園池的照片。

Another photo shot in Nan Lian Garden (南蓮園池). If you plan on visiting this place, please note that the security guards here will not let you use a tripod while photographing. There wasn't a lot of people in this part, so I didn't quite get why. Either way, I used them on a few shots when there was no security guards around. XD This photo I didn't use it on, but the other two I did. If you look like a foreigner (not local) like me, you can always pretend to not understand them. They'll first ask you in Cantonese (which I can't understand), then Mandarin (which I pretended to not understand), and then English so no more pretending, but by then, you are probably done with your photo. When you know you are doing something wrong, act stupid and innocent when caught. Also don't let the same security guard catch you doing it twice. :)

 Now I head out to Victoria Harbor. Near Victoria Harbor is The Peninsula (半島酒店). I hear this is one of the most expensive hotels in the world.

I am a big fan of DigitalRevTV on Youtube. Watching their many videos, Victoria Harbor was one of the places I always wanted to see with my very own eyes. I am very happy that I finally got to see it in real life. Here is a photo of the view from Victoria Harbor. The smog that day was pretty heavy, but made for some really nice sunsets. On the right is the Two International Finance Centre.
