During June, there were still some snow on the mountains, which I got quite some photos of. I split the photos into 4 parts. I hope you enjoy the photos.

Message From The Photographer: I know these photos are from very long time ago. If you have been following me on social media for a while, you'd know I've been dealing with vision loss (not completely blind) for over a year now. My photography work has been slowed down drastically. I hope you all can understand.

Donnell Fire Burn Scar & SR-108 (Part 2) - Stanislaus National Forest

On November 19th, 2018, I took a day trip to the Stanislaus National Forest and Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in California. I traveled to places along State Route 108. I visited the Donnell Fire burn scar, walked along Forest Service Route 077 towards Leavitt Lake, drove down towards Mountain Warfare Training Center, and dropped by Leavitt Falls Vista Point. I split the photos into 5 parts. I hope you enjoy the photos.

This is part 2 of my photos. The photos for today are from Stanislaus National Forest. Photos are from State Route 108 and of the Donnell Fire burn scar shot from Dardanelle, CA and Kennedy Meadows, CA.

Warning: Please note that exploring burn areas could potentially be dangerous as there are hazards on the roads and around the area (power lines, chemicals, bio-hazard waste, hidden ditches, etc...). There could also be dangerous chemicals in the air. For me, my lungs were burning within a minute of exploring Dardanelle, CA and I had to grab my respirator which filters out particulates and chemicals. I also stayed fairly close to SR-108, avoided power lines, read the hazard markings on the trees and kept an eye out for any moving trees around me (please note that this isn't even a guarantee as a tree can still fall with little to no warning), etc... If you choose to explore burn scars, you are doing so at your own risk and health! If you don't know what you are doing, don't risk it!
