Canada Geese (Branta canadensis) in Shadow Cliffs Regional Park (Pleasanton, CA)

I live quite close to Shadow Cliff Regional Park in Pleasanton, CA so today I have photos of Canada Geese (Branta canadensis) from the park. Shadow Cliff Regional Park is part of the East Bay Parks District, and is a great recreational area to visit. There are many picnic tables, and a lake that you can swim in. Also, the park is a great place for some nice bird and animal photography as there are many ducks, birds, and geese there.

Full Resolution Photos and Prints: If you want to see full resolution photos or buy prints of any of the photos you see, they are up on my portfolio for viewing. Message from the Photographer: If you have been following me, you would know I recently took a road trip from the SF Bay Area all the way to Vancouver, BC, Canada. As much as I would like to share my road trip photos with you, the 2000 (estimate) photos I took on the trip are proving to be a bit hard to process. I will still need quite some time before I can process enough to start on the blog posts. I hope you all understand. 😀 Trust me, I've been rushing to get them done as I am planning to start a Smugmug portfolio to start selling prints of my work which I think many are already looking forward to. I plan on doing that once I am done processing all of my road trip photos. Anyways, here are the photos for today.

On the left is the Canada Geese (Branta canadensis). The geese on the right, I tried to identify, but can't. I also asked a few of my photo buddies on Google+. They all say it seems to be a hybrid offspring of the Canada Geese (Branta canadensis) and another geese. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a hybrid.

The 2 geese just stood there still for me to take photos.

I thought these 2 just standing there made a really nice composition which is why I moved this series of shots up front.

This is a photo I shot of the 2 geese above when they were swimming towards me.

A portrait of the head and neck of one of the hybrid geese.

Another photo of the hybrid geese.
