San Francisco, CA 11-16-2013 (Part 2)

Recently (well technically around half a month ago), on 11-16-2013, there was a photo walk in San Francisco that I had participated in. I am here to show you some of the photos I shot while on the photowalk. The photos will be from the Embarcadero, the Financial District, and Chinatown. I will be splitting the photos into 2 parts.

Full Resolution Photos and Prints: If you want to see full resolution photos or buy prints of any of the photos you see, they are up on my portfolio for viewing. To view my best San Francisco photos, use this link. To view all of my photos from this San Francisco trip, use this link.

The photos for today are from Chinatown and the Embarcadero (Pier 14).

Message from the Photographer: Since the road trip photos from my trip traveling from the SF Bay Area to Victoria, BC, Canada is going to be a very long, I decided I'm going to splice these San Francisco photos in the middle as these were pretty recent. I hope you enjoy viewing these photos!

A mural in Chinatown. One of my followers told me there is a different up on the street view on Google Maps. I checked, they do! No wonder this mural looked so new when I took the photo.

More street photography. Here are photos of shrimp. The box in the front directly translates to American Shrimp. Sadly I can't read the other one. I'm not very good at reading Chinese.

You know you are in Chinatown when... LOL I'm sorry if this sounds racist, but I'm Chinese and I thought it was funny.

More street photography... Read the above caption... LOL Photo shot at same location above.

At this point, the rest of the photo walk group went to go get drinks at a bar. I'm obviously not 21 yet, so I left. Here is a photo of some photos of duck wings in a restaurant. Sure looked delicious... I ended up getting some beef tendons. I got some once, and they were so delicious. So I get some when ever I head to Chinatown now.

Here is another photo. The restaurant owner started shouting at me in Cantonese (which I don't speak) so I stopped taking photos. Not sure why. I was planning to buy some food there... But maybe it was because it was too crowded inside.

I then walked down to Pier 14 at the Embarcadero. Yes, I walked! I took BART there that day. Here is a photo of sunset and moon rise. The bridge you see is the Bay Bridge. I caught the moment with my telephoto lens

Here is another photo of the moon rise further down Pier 14.

I then waited for the moon to rise up even more. Here is another photo.

After the moon rose over the Bay Bridge just a bit, I decided to shoot a panorama. This was the photo NBC Bay Area asked me for permission to use. See that blog post here.

Here is a photo of the same scenery but not as a panorama. The island you are looking at is Treasure Island and the bridge is the Bay Bridge.

A photo of the Coit Tower from Pier 14 during sunset.

These are all the photos for today. I hope you have enjoyed viewing them. Next time I continue my road trip photos traveling from the SF Bay Area to Victoria, BC, Canada.
