Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge - Fremont, CA

On the 26th November 2024, my parents and I visited Alviso Marina County Park and the Alviso District in San Jose, CA, and Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge in Fremont, CA. This was the first time I've headed to Alviso to see the salt flats, and it is amazing! I didn't know about Alviso until I saw photos from another photographer that I know. The photos are split into 2 blog posts. I hope you enjoy viewing my photos!

Golden Gate NRA Night Photography (Part 2) - Marin County, CA

On 27 January 2024, my parents and I took a trip to Mt. Tamalpais State Park and Golden Gate National Recreation Area in Marin County, CA. I took photos of scenery, banana slugs, Stinson Beach, Bolinas Lagoon, and night time photos of San Francisco. I split the photos into 2 blog posts. I hope you enjoy viewing my photos!

This blog post features night time long exposures from Golden Gate National Recreation Area. I took a lot of photos of the Golden Gate Bridge, Bay Bridge, and San Francisco at night.

While the experimental treatment did almost completely fix my day time vision, my night time vision is only half working. My dad has recently taken up photography as well and I've been teaching him. He's also been assisting me with composition at night due to my poor vision. Night photography of San Francisco was actually not too bad for me as there are so many bright lights that I can see.

After Bolinas Lagoon, we drove all the way to Point Reyes Station, CA, but we didn't see much. After sunset, our first stop was Muir Beach Overlook in Muir Beach, CA.

Our next stop was the Fort Baker and the Moore Road Pier Area of Golden Gate National Recreation Area in Sausalito, CA. Please note that this area is not safe. My mom saw someone that was most likely there to do smash and grabs, however got really spooked when he saw her talking to my dad and I on on our Midland GXT1050VP4 Two-Way Radios (Affiliate Link). My mom said the person had a thick jacket on and a large hood so you couldn't see his face. He circled our vehicle, and saw my mom talking on the radio and hid at the gated off private pier (next to Moore Road Pier) for a while. After 10 minutes, he circled our vehicle again, saw my mom talking on the radio, and then quickly walked off.

My mom said another funny thing also happened. A woman who was fishing on the pier for some reason decided not to use the porta potties nearby and instead chose to pee in front of our vehicle (it was at night after all). My mom wasn't sure what she was doing, so she opened the car door to go get a closer look. Opening the car door set off the car alarm and the horn started blaring and the headlights started flashing. The woman panicked pulled her pants up and ran. 😂

On Top Of Coit Tower (Part 3) - San Francisco, CA

On September 1st, 2019, I took a trip to San Francisco, CA. I visited Asian Art Museum (I didn't take photos at this location), Civic Center, and went to the top of Coit Tower for the first time despite living in the San Francisco Bay Area for over a decade now. The photos are split into 4 blog posts. I hope you enjoy viewing these photos.

This is part 3 of my photos. I have more photos taken from the top of Coit Tower.

Message From The Photographer: If you've been following me on social media, you'd know I've been dealing with vision impairment and gradual vision loss since August 2018. The conditions are neurological, so my vision isn't impaired the same amount on a daily basis, but overall it seems to be going down hill. It has slowed down and made taking photos, processing photos, using computers, etc... very challenging and somewhat depressing. Some days it is impossible for me to take photos or process them. I know these photos are from a very long time ago, but I'm only just starting to get around in processing them as I'm only able to work on them at a very slow pace. I hope you can understand, and I hope you enjoy viewing these photos.
