Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge - Fremont, CA

On the 26th November 2024, my parents and I visited Alviso Marina County Park and the Alviso District in San Jose, CA, and Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge in Fremont, CA. This was the first time I've headed to Alviso to see the salt flats, and it is amazing! I didn't know about Alviso until I saw photos from another photographer that I know. The photos are split into 2 blog posts. I hope you enjoy viewing my photos!

High Resolution Photos: If you want to see high resolution photos of any of the photos you see here, use the following links. If you wish to purchase prints of any of the photos, please contact me here. To see all of my photos from Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge, use this link.

Foster City Independence Day 2012 (Sunset and Scenery)

Independence Day, or Fourth of July, is a federal holiday where Americans celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence in July 4th, 1776 which declared the US independence from Great Britain. Many Americans (and non-Americans) celebrate by shooting off and watching fireworks, having barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, political speeches, and many other activities. I spent the 2012 4th of July in Foster City, CA. I took photos of the fireworks, the event, and some scenery at Leo J. Ryan Park and Bay Trail. I split the photos of this event into 3 blog posts.

Full Resolution Photos and Prints: If you want to see full resolution photos or buy prints of any of the photos you see, they are up on my portfolio for viewing. View my best photos from the event here. View all of my photos from the event here.

Today's photos will be scenery and sunset in Foster City taken at Leo J. Ryan Park and on Bay Trail. After this blog post, I will begin posting my Monterey photos. No more pushing those back. YAY! XD I hope you enjoy today's photos!

The sunsets over Foster City, CA. To the left of this photo is where they let off the fireworks. You can see the fireworks photos here. The lake in the photo is Central Lake, and the photo is taken at Leo J. Ryan Park.

This was a photo I took about an hour before sunset. The lake in the photo is Central Lake, and the photo is taken at Leo J. Ryan Park. I had nothing to do. LOL The rides were too expensive, and my friend didn't arrive yet. So I just pretty much sat there for hours waiting for the fireworks. It got a bit boring because I already pretty much took photos of everything. Now thinking about it, why didn't I go watch the live performance. >.<

Bay Trail in Foster City, CA.

This is the San Mateo Bridge. This bridge connects Hayward and San Mateo (using the big city names). This is also the route you take to go into Foster City if you are crossing the bay. This is the longest bridge in the SF Bay Area and it is about 7 miles long. The photo is taken from Bay Trail in Foster City, CA.

That is all the photos I took at the Foster City Independence Day event! :) I hope you have enjoyed all these photos. In my next post, I will being my Monterey photos! Enough pushing those back! :) Please check back soon! Also, please don't forget to share my blog posts with your friends! If you would like to get notifications next time I post, you can "Like" me on Facebook or follow me on Twitter and Instagram.
