Año Nuevo State Park (Cellphone Photos) - San Mateo County, CA

On the 15th January 2026, my parents and I went on a guided tour in Año Nuevo State Park in San Mateo County, CA for a day trip. We walked along Año Nuevo Point Trail, soaking in the scenery. I hope you enjoy viewing my photos!

The main part of Año Nuevo State Park only has one trail, Año Nuevo Point Trail. The scenery is amazing, and there were so many birds to see walking down the trail. Please note you do have to pay for the guided tour December through March during pupping season.

On the 1st September 2025, my mom and I went to Pescadero, CA for a day trip. I visited Downtown Pescadero, Pescadero Marsh Natural Preserve, and Pebble Beach at Bean Hollow State Park. I took photos with my cellphone. I hope you enjoy viewing my photos!

Message from the Photographer: Unfortunately Long COVID is wrecking havoc on my health and energy levels, and my health is slowly declining. My day trips are far and few in between now.

San Gregorio State Beach & El Granada, CA (Cellphone Photos)

Today, on the 17th December 2025, I had to go to Atherton, CA to see a Stanford long COVID specialist. Luckily, this is the week one of my medications is still in effect, so I have a bit more energy. After the doctors appointment, my mom and I decided go to State Route 1 for some fun. We went to San Gregorio State Beach in San Gregorio, CA and El Granada, CA. At the end of this blog post, I also included some photos of the 2 restaurants I ate at. I hope you enjoy viewing my photos!

My mom and I's first stop on State Route 1 is San Gregorio State Beach in San Gregorio, CA.

Next up are some of the bonus photos from the restaurants I ate at on my trip.

My mom and I got up at 6 AM in the morning so I can be on time for my doctors appointment with the Stanford long COVID specialist in Atherton, CA. I didn't eat breakfast before I left. I normally don't get up until past 9 AM, but unfortunately my appointment is at 9 AM. I would have scheduled a later appointment, but unfortunately the next available one was in April, and if you have been following me, you know how long COVID is wrecking havoc on my life. After the appointment, my mom and I went to Mexcal Taqueria (3215 Middlefield Rd, Menlo Park, CA 94025) for brunch. The food was spicy and awesome!

For dinner, I went back to my usual place in Half Moon Bay, CA to order take out, Monsoon Himalayan Cuisine (20 Stone Pine Rd STE B, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019). I love the vegetarian options at this place, and they have plenty! Nothing better than South Asian vegetarian cuisine.

Half Moon Bay, CA (Cellphone Photos)

Yesterday, on 5th October 2024, my parents and I went for on a trip to Half Moon Bay, CA, spending most of our time at Francis Beach in Half Moon Bay State Beach. We had a heat wave inland, plus I needed some outdoors time due to claustrophobia. I hope you enjoy viewing my photos!

Message from the Photographer: I have been struggling with long COVID since November 2023, and I have been dealing with chronic fatigue and many other health problems. I'm mostly house bound and frequently bedridden these days. Unfortunately, claustrophobia hits hard quite frequently. Yesterday, I had a little bit more energy than usual so I decided to go for a trip to Half Moon Bay, plus it was way too hot inland due to the heat wave. I didn't bring any camera equipment with me (I have too little energy for that), but was able to take a few photos with my phone.

The destination for this trip was Francis Beach in Half Moon Bay State Beach. We weren't the only ones with the idea to go to the beach to escape the heat wave inland. There were so many people and the beach was crowded!

Next, I was hungry, so my parents and I walked over to Taqueria Tres Amigos at the intersection of Kelly Avenue and State Route 1 for dinner. We didn't drive because we didn't want to lose our parking space. The food was delicious, and they had a number of vegetarian options available. It was sunset by the time I finished my meal, and I took a few photos on the side of State Route 1 of the town of Half Moon Bay.

We then walked back to Francis Beach in Half Moon Bay State Beach to see the sunset over the Pacific Ocean.
